 First hit chart October 24, 1942 for 1 week, then re-appeared on May 22, 1943. Hit no. 10 on August 7, finally no. 1 as already described. A slow buildup! Remember, 1942-43 was the Musicians strike, maybe without that Decca just drops it and moves on to new songs.

 more information is required on this disc.
i believe jscaptura scans are correct for sides a/b because i have the same disc.
album scan are probably from a later date when paper dolls became the hit
