There's a date (8/28/54) written on the runout side A. On B is written (9/4/54). It could be the recording dates.

 Finding some data about hit recordings and charts, I think the two dates written on the runout is the day of entry on the US charts.
If reading the data correct, side A entered 28 aug, was on the charts for 4 weeks, and peaked as #21.
Side B entered 4 Sept., peaked as #1 for 3 weeks and 24 weeks on the charts.
