Original scans do have a greenish hue on my computer , and some 'squiggles as can be seen on the original scans' doing my adjust level on the originals gives me a washed out images completely , so resized to 80% and 300 dpi , then circled then saved as jpg 99%ish , was not particulary green when I saved but bringing it int 78rpm gave rise to the green shading I note, so re-open files on my laptop and they had the green shade , adjusted level and got the black levels back ( assuming the label is a darker black ) , re- uploaded as new pictures. Take your pick and delete what you dont want. Why paint.net is changing the shade on my first saving to disc is a bit of a mystery.

I have re done a scan showing the gold lettering , but I remember the original was showing up blotchy on the black , reading 45cat notes on editing looks like I should have adjusted DPI to give better interpolation to change things , I dont think I can get paint to layer the gold lettering over the black background ( I am not that clever ).

I note the same problem has happened with a couple of other scans from Louis on Victor that have been edited by others , it may be Louis scanner / camera / program that is coding the black in a different way to how paint etc is expecting.

Should I get scanning on my own 78s I am dreading trying to get 3 assorted shades of plum on His Master's Voice correct.
Sorry for the aggro , but its better to clear up these little niggles in the early days of 78rpm world. I have similar problems over on 45cat that I might try out on my own scans of 1970s CBS labels getting the orange shade correct.

@Louis, if you could upload again, I will edit them and delete the others.
Not seeing the original scans, I just re-adjusted those other two.

Used paint to make labels circular , maybe in the jpg down to about 96% of original size the computer has rendered the black to a different shade , which I did not touch , database should still have the original scans in it. I have the Paint.net of B side still , which I have clicked on Auto-Level ( learn a new trick every day ) , which has made the green-ish hue go away and back to black , presumably same would occur on the original A side or my edit of. I'll ask a mod to let them be re-editable , will upload B again , see what you think. Downloaded A side label and done same modification to it as well. I will pop the comment about adjustments / auto adjust ( which I have used in Windows photo viewer on my own pictures ) and also ask about png vs jpg as being better for less loss of clarity.
