78 RPM Record
Notes Fox trots. From First National picture, "Sally". Conducted by Leonard Joy Vocal refrain by Frank Luther Side A = mx. BVE-57922-3 Side B = mx. BVE-57923-1 Both sides were recorded on December 16, 929 in New York, NY at 28 West 44th Street The label miscredits the song lyrics to P. G. Wodehouse rather than the actural lyricist Buddy G. De Sylva. It also ties the song to the 1929 First National motion picture, not the original stage production of Sally. Labels crediting "Victor Talking Machine Division - Radio-Victor Corporation Of America", as on this early repressing, were in use only between spring - summer 1930.
