Just to add a note. I'm doing my own greatest hits and didn't know much about Bing except White Christmas and Long Long Time. I've spent 2 days of web searches trying to find the release date for Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town [too many list the recording date of 9.29.43]. It seems in 1943 78s had a street date of Mondays. And pg 66 of the 12-4-43 Billboard says Decca released the 78 that week, therefor the release date is Mon 11.29.43. IF that's not accurate enuf you can always go with Nov '43. But I didn't want my searching to go to waste. I tried to get a link to my google search but it appears that's blocked. I made a pdf of the page if it needs posting as proof. or delete this once moderators decide it's safe to post the release date as 29 Nov 1943 or Nov 1943 as the release date instead of '1943'. or use this link and go to pg 66 bottom 'Rec Buy Guide' in 'Note' Billboard 4 Dec 1943 [go to pg 66]
