han enderman 21st Feb 2022		RIH 244-A #2 - label of Sister Anne added with composer Jacque instead of Jacques (as on the images already present). The original pressing of RIH 244 (Nov 1952) has Christmas Bells by Bobby Nunn instead of the Linda Hayes song and the Que Martyn side with a different title. As the original pressing gives the composer as Jacque, the label with Jacques is evidently a later (third) pressing. The Linda Hayes labels of the 2nd & 3rd pressing of 244 have a different layout and correctly give Jacques. Note that on other RIH releases we see both Jacque & Jacques, but I assume that Jacques was intended. See also the comments under the 45rpm release of this 2nd (Feb 1953) version of RIH 244. - It would be useful if these 1950s 78s would be linked to their 45s equivalents (especially if there are additional comments, since it took much time to trace everything).

mickey rat 3rd Mar 2013		Linda Hayes (real name Bertha Williams) was sister of Tony Williams, future lead singer with the Platters. Linda Hayes already had Buck Ram as her manager which may have had something to do with Tony Williams replacing Cornell Gunter in the group that evolved into the Platters.
