It's interesting that "All Through The Night" was the chosen A side of this release, considering that the B side became a timeless classic. Whiteman recorded three other selections from "Anything Goes" at this October 26th session, One was a 5 part medley that was issued on a 12" disc (Victor 36141) on November 14, 1934. The other two were "I Get a Kick Out of You" and "You're the Top", released on 24769 the same week. Whiteman recorded the first renditions of each of these because he was able to obtain an advance copy of the Cole Porter score and make these recordings ten days before the tryout performances at Boston's Colonial Theater on November 5.

A great (and first ever) version of the title song for the Cole Porter Broadway production. This record was released on the day that "Anything Goes" opened at the Alvin Theatre in New York. This is a terrific arrangement and prominently features Charlie Teagarden's trumpet and Ramona's piano.
