Bill Coleman's account of this session is published in Laurie Wright's excellent book ""Fats' In Fact". Much whiskey was consumed, along with a big meal at lunch when studio techs tried to repair a broken reed in the pipe organ. Despite not knowing which songs would be recorded beforehand, and never seeing the music before the session started, Fats sounds like he'd been playing them all his life and his musicians are all in the groove with him.
