Vic 25459 - It went unnoticed that the labels already present are of different label types: side -B is the earlier type of the scroll RCA Manufacturing Co label, with 2-line location Camden N.J. USA, whereas -A is the next label type with 1-line location. I have added the reversed coupling: 2-line -A with 1-line -B. Both are Hollywood pressings (H scratched at 12).
- I have images of a similar coupling of Vic 25460 (Nick La Rocca and The Original Dixieland Band), with 2-line -B and 1-line -A; also Hollywood. Non-Hollywood labels of 25459/60 that I have seen are the later type. These 2 releases are almost the last known to me with the 2-line Manufacturing label. Vic 25478 (H) by Fats Waller also couples both types. I think that in California they used their remaining RCA Victor Co label stock, when on the East Coast already the new label type was used. And probably deliberately they coupled an old label with a new one.
- The last issue of the preceding RCA Victor Company label is 25054 (reported long ago by J.E. Knox on the 78-L forum), and I have a scan of 25052-A (Hollywood) with this type, so the Manufacturing label was used everywhere from 25055 (May 1935) on.
