 It is interesting to note that on all his previous Broadcast recordings, Tom Burke was billed as England's Greatest Tenor. Not on this one, however. To what, I wonder, does he owe this implicit demotion? Could it be there was a new guy in town who took the crown? Or did they simply need the space to credit the accompanying organist?
