slholzer 21st Aug 2017		i don't mean it as a reflection on Art Van Damme, who was, as accordionists go, a creditable artist, but it must have been galling to a musician of Harry James' stripe to have to issue any recording under his own name that ceded the feature role on both sides to an accordionist. What could possibly have signalled that the Swing Era was indeed ending more than this?
