 The hymn tune "Aberystwyth", referred to on the label of side A, was written by Joseph Parry,who gets no credit whatsoever. Parry was a Welshman and the first, according to Wikipedia, to write an opera in Welsh. One may well judge how futile an endeavor that was by the lack of public awareness of it, but Parry did produce a few better known melodies, including "Aberystwyth" which got wider recognition as the basis for the English language hymn on this disc.
