Miller was promoted to Major while stationed in Bedford, England on August 17, 1944. The unit was then known as The American Band Of The Allied Expeditionary Forces (AEF).
The two titles listed here were taken from separate "I Sustain The Wings" broadcasts while the unit was still in the States and Miller was a Captain. Of course, his unit at the time of these broadcasts was known as The Army Air Forces Training Command Orchestra
"I Can't Give You Anything But Love Baby" was taken from the May 13, 1944 6:00 to 6:30 p. m. NBC broadcast, while "Little Brown Jug" was the "borrowed" tune in the Something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue medley of the May 27, 1944 6:00 to 6:30 p. m. NBC broadcast (both programs were repeated live for the West Coast between 11 to 11:30 p.m.). Both broadcasts were staged at the Vanderbilt Theatre in New York City. (Note: Miller was on leave during the timeframe of these programs. Sgt. Jerry Gray conducted in his stead.)
As this issue was not released until August, 1945 (eight months following Miller's disappearance and presumed death), the title of Major is correct as listed on the label..
