slholzer 6th Jun 2017		The Georgia Melody Makers are identified in Rust's Dance Band Discography as a pseudonym for the California Ramblers on one Dandy issue (5064). Neither Rust nor Allen Sutton list any other titles on which this pseudonym appears, although, with this one, I now know of two other Dandy issues on which it is used. This title does not appear in the California Ramblers chapter of the ADBD, so perhaps it is someone else. The Dandy entry in Rust's American Record Label Book indicates that Dandy was in business from 1921 to 1926 and that Dandy's material was drawn from the Emerson-Consolidated catalog. Some research in that direction might turn up an answer. There is no chapter in the ADBD for the Dandy Dance Orchestra. It is almost certainly a pseudonym for somebody, although it is not cross-referenced in the ADBD and there is no entry for it in Sutton's Pseudonyms on American Records. Again, the Emerson-Consolidated pool of material probably holds the key to identifying this orchestra. Dandy 5064 is dated to 1925, so this disc must be from the time frame 1925-1926.
