 This disc was pressed in two different versions over its lifetime. Some of them were credited to the Beale Street Boys as this one is. Others were credited to the Beale Street Gang which came to be used for other discs in the series. I'm guessing the Gang discs are later chronologically than the Boys pressings.

 Sounds like "A.M. Brunner" was a crypto-anagram for Herman Lubinsky, albeit with a few letters in that pseudonym missing.

 Recorded New York, October 28 1946, this was a Milt Buckner small group: Buckner piano, Pazzuza Simon tenor sax, Curly Russell bass and Arthur Herbert drums. "Pazzuza" Simon was actually Stafford Simon of Louis Jordan's Tympany Five. And nothing ever changes - composer A.M. Brunner (a.k.a. Lew Herman) was actually Savoy label owner Herman Lubinsky snaffling the publishing and you can bet your life both sides were "head" arrangements by Buckner's lads and Lubinsky had nothing to do with it.
