When Columbia reissued these sides on cat# 37458 in May 1947, its subsidiary OKeh label had been discontinued for nearly two years (only to be revived in 1951).

Answering an earlier question, by GumboStu (who unfortunately seems to have lost interest in this site):
Mr. Memphis Minnie was definitely the original artist credit for "Black Rat Swing" when it was released in February 1943, as the review in the Billboard March 6, 1943 issue, page 61 (now uploaded) clearly reveals. The reviewer couldn't identify the singer but anyway preferred "Looking The World Over", sung by Ms. Memphis Minnie.

@Ted Clark The OKeh is the original issue.

I have the same record with the same matrix numbers in dead wax, but it is on Columbia 37458. Okeh was a subsidiary of Columbia so that makes sense. But, does anyone know which was issued first?

added alternate label with Mr. Memphis Minnie for Little Son Joe. I wonder which came first? There's a 1- in the run off grooves on mine, as well as the matrix, for those that understand such things.
