 Dear slholzer, the dead wax etching in my copy is: YBU 12745 / YBU 12746.

 This is the first, and at least to me, only known Mercury 78 issue that bears a mx number with a YW prefix on the label. By contrast, I have seen many instances where the 78 issue has a YB number and the corresponding 45 has the same number but with a YW prefix. There are many examples of supposed YW matrices on 78s in the Online Discographical Project listing, but I have so far found that when an actual 78 comes to hand, the mx on the label is in fact a YB. I don't know if this one is an error on the company's part, or indicative of something more exotic like a dub from the 45 matrix because the original 78 matrix has gone missing or become unusable. Or possibly I'm just dead wrong about the whole YB/YW thing. In furtherance of true knowledge, can anybody tell me what the wax on this says? And is anybody aware of any other 78 issue that has, or purports to have, a YW mx number?
