78 RPM Record
Notes Garland's debut commercial recording. Recorded in New York on June 12, 1936 Accompanied by Bob Crosby And His Orchestra. According to notes found within Judy Garland's Online Discography, Crosby's manager was so miffed that the band was chosen to perform with this "unknown" talent that he refused to permit the orchestra to be credited on the label. Although the label states she was 13, Garland had actually just celebrated her 14th birthday two days before the recording session. Images
