 Per Tony Russell's Country Music Records, A Discography, 1921-1942, Clinton Bennett was a pseudonym for singer Jimmy Boa. Side B was recorded in New York on June 8, 1933. It appeared with the same catalog number on the Canadian Crown, Canadian Melotone, Sterling and Royale labels.

From the same source, Side A was recorded in New York on January 26, 1934. The vocalists are Frank Luther and Ray Whitley. It was released on 6 other labels under the title of "The Last of the 21 Year Prisoner"
