 And I could add that "Les enfants oubliés" became a Christmas classic in Québec, contrary to France where it was quickly forgotten. Céline Dion has recorded it, among numerous other singers.

C'est une bonne question, oui. C'est simplement que cette chanson française a été adaptée en anglais et enregistrée par Sammy Davis, Jr. pour Decca sur 78 tours et sur 45 tours. Ce 45t est d'ailleurs déjà sur 45cat.com, voilà. Je voulais aider les gens dans leurs recherches.

I added that information because there was an early English adaptation of that Bécaud/ Delanoë song which was recorded in 1955 by Sammy Davis, Jr. I know it's against your policy (stick to the label), I plead guilty. Today I added a Greek 78 by Tony Brent singing "With Your Love" which is an adaptation of "Mes mains" and I didn't add that French title... So you see, Judge, I'm not a hopeless case !
