Both sides recorded in late 1925 at Hayes, Middlesex and probably released in that same year. The Savoy Orpheans featured Ray Starita on tenor sax and clarinet who went on to make a lot of records under his own name. The Savoy Havana Band was a totally different outfit and for most of 1925 featured young American Rudy Vallee on clarinet and alto sax. Vallee of course went on to become one of the most popular crooners of the pre-war years.
