Side A: mx. BVE-70533-1 was recorded at RCA's Church Bldg. Studio 2 in Camden, NJ on September 23, 1931. Translated title "Wake 'Em Up" was originally released on Victor 23300 on November 20, 1931 (as by "Chicago Hot Five"). The transcription (dub) used on this release was made on March 9, 1933 and was also issued on Bluebird B-5027.

Side B: mx. BRC-68217-2 was recorded at RCA's Church Bldg. Studio 2 in Camden, NJ on June 4, 1931. Translated title "Please Tell Me" was originally released on Victor 23283 on August 28, 1931 (as by "Washboard Rhythm Kings"). The "1R" transcription (dub) used on this release was made on February 9, 1933 and was also issued on Bluebird B-5027.

Instrumentation on Side B (Washboard Rhythm Kings) includes saxophone, banjo, guitar, piano, washboard, and drums. Most performers are unidentified, though "H. Alberts" has been named as the sax player and Teddy Bunn the guitarist. Vocals are by Jake Fenderson.
