 Like Raymond Scott, Bert Shefter (May 15, 1904 – June 29, 1999) was a Russian emigre to the US. He found a career in composing for the movies, and his scores include sone Sci-fi classics a s well as Russ Meyer's "Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!".

 This record is every bit as quirky as the great Raymond Scott Quintet, and every bit as charming. I hadn't heard of Bert Shefter when I bought this, the titles just looked interesting!
