scrough 18th Jul 2018		Yes, it's a 1924 re-release of two single sided records. The original record numbers are on the labels at bottom left - 022185 and 022263. Catalogue No 2. was originally issued separately, but later became a section of the annual catalogue, and in many cases listed the date of the original recordings. These recordings, as you suggest, were older recordings, and often the artist had died or retired, or the performance could not be repeated. No remastering was possible at this date as everything was still acoustic/mechanical.



Worldstamps 18th Jul 2018		Please see images . I have no idea what catalogue no 2 was, but guess it was way of reissuing older recordings, that might be of interest to collectors. The Tempest Rages was recorded in 1910, Not A Little Autumn Rain was recorded in 1911. The sound quality is beautiful, does anyone know if original recordings were remastered for catalogue no 2. Please any info on original recordings, and reissued tracks, any information on release dates. Going on D.B. number sequence maybe this version 1924?
