 Both these tracks were recorded way back in 1945 with Ben Pollack's Orchestra and released (as one side each of two separate 78s) in 1945 on Pollack's own Jewel label, based in Hollywood. The Jewel catalog was purchased in 1951 by Herman Lubinsky's Savoy label in Newark NJ. Kay Starr was huge in the early '50s with hits like "Wheel Of Fortune" on Capitol so Lubinsky reissued these two tracks in February 1952 on his Regent label (Regent was previously owned by Savoy producer Fred Mendelsohn). And so, this rare Aussie release on Festival's Manhattan imprint. Was it released in the U.K.? Interesting too to see Cindy Walker was writing songs as long ago as 1945.
