scrough 1st Feb 2014		More research shows that this is an Italian release, The Gramophone Company had divisions in England, France, Germany, Russia, Spain, Austria, Denmark, Scandinavia and Italy, which all issued their own catalogues. Records in the range 50000 to 59999 are all nominally 'Italian', although this is more related to the language, performer or composer of the recording than the country of issue, and may appear in catalogues of any country. As an example, recordings of Caruso in French will appear in the 3xxxx 'French' series, and in German in the 4xxxx series. See here for a fuller explanation of the catalogue numbering system.
