I am trying to write a mini-history of Fontana , wiki is a starting point , but needs updating as some more scans are added here and on 45cat.

I don't know how well Phillips promoted the Fontana in the early days , by 1958 the format was being killed off anyway , H103 I think from other sources was the first one also issued as UK 45.

Quite right of course - just my silly arithmetic!

 "Only" 135 issues, in fact. The series started at H 100, not H 1 (and H 234 was 45-only).

 Fontana's 78 series ran from H 100 (1958) to H 235 (1960) so well over 200 issues.

I have 5 Fontana 78s which will be uploaded later today. 3 are by Johnny Mathis and 1 each by The Four Coins and Rikki Price. Fortunately, I have the original sleeves.

Nice one, Jock_Girl. Anyone else got any Fontana's?

Not sure how rare they are but there was at least one other Somethin' Smith 78 on Fontana - -and I own it!

In all my years dabbling with 78's, I've never seen another Fontana copy. Does anyone know how rare they are?
