 Re the tax codes, I think Decca simply knocked off the letter "T" (T for Tax), the code in place at the time was NT Apr 15th 1953 to Oct 26th 1955, (replaced by "RT" on 27th Oct 55).

 I think its a (purchase) tax code, Decca labels used their own internal coding rather than the more common EMI group codes.
