 @George - I've amended Bit to Hit!

I always thought the story behind those charts sounded a bit odd, but I guess the publishers and the OCC thought it was OK.

I will check out the peak position later and confirm.

 Thanks a lot My Friend Jack.
You don't mean "Bit Singles".
Does this supposedly represent all of England? There was no national chart then, only regional.
Apparently at some point she reached #20.
PS: It's more clear to me now. The book is based on wholesale sales nation-wide. It also references sheet music. There are various errors in it. The website I had found in one city must have been displaying charts contrary to copyright and was shut down.
Do you find her in it at #20?

 In response to George Slv's question from 2017, The Telephone Song is by the Andrews Sisters. The chart is taken from Steve Water's book, "The British Hit Singles - The Missing Charts."

 On one CD The Thing in the UK version was shorter by one verse, leaving out St.Peter. Can anyone check if that applied to the 78?
There are a couple on ebay now.

 The site linked below is closed so here is an image of the chart, showing The Thing. Also shows other items by Teresa. What is the Telephone Song?

 Here is the first documentation I have found of a chart position for this record of hers. worldcharts.co.uk

Other necessary information: Looking at the CD release I see the UK release dropped one of the verses and was shorter. Anyone have explanations?
The full version is on Youtube.

That webpage also lists her as having The Telephone Song by teresa brewer, but that is clearly an error.
