| | Recordings from 1939 & 1940. Given the situation in Japan (and "Nippon Columbia Co, Ltd." on the labels), I reckon that this was probably released after the war.
Interesting that each label has a tempo indication.
Also, "Boy Meets Goy" understandably did not easily translate to Japanese; "逢びき" roughly translates to "meeting" or "encounter". As it turns out, 逢びき was the title for the Japanese release of the 1945 film "Brief Encounter". |
