 Well as noted by LouisSidney on an earlier release, Joe Henderson's 'Friends' were Petula Clark, Stanley Black and Alma Cogan, according to a reissue on a Sepia CD ("Partners In Music"). I've also seen that written in the sleevenotes of an original LP by Joe and his Friends, which is presumably the source for the information. It's long been said by Petula collectors and fans that she's on the two medley discs which made the UK charts, although it can't really be proven. Some of think it does sound a bit like her singing along in parts. Whether you can identify her or any other notable singer on the chorus of these other discs, I don't know. Impossible to prove amongst a chorus I suppose. It's possible they were just whoever was around in the Pye Nixa studio at the time.

 I always thought that Henderson's "friends" were people dragged in from the street as that's what they sound like on these singalong records. There are loads of these records and they are mostly terrible!
