 It was recorded most likely in 1949 with Bozeman at Lake Charles. Bozeman released this pressing as well as other Abshire band members (Wilson Granger, Ernest Thibodeaux) on the Hot Rod label with Bob Tanner between 1951 and 1953. Very difficult to tell when Hot Rod ended and TNT began.

 Nathan Abshire and the Rayne-Bo Ramblers recorded for Bluebird in 1935. This record is a post-war indie label dating c.1953. So this is certainly not his earliest recording. He had previously in 1949 recorded for the St. Charles, LA indie label OT. Still, l this label has a big cool factor.

 This must be one of the earliest recordings by Nathan Abshire. There is no mention of his recording for this label in his Wikipedia biography, so I'm guessing it may also be largely unknown, even to Nathan Abshire fans. Followers of Cajun music, particularly Cajun accordion music, will want to add this one to their want lists.
