 One surely wonders molemilton. The A&R man, if they had such a thing, ought to have had a better handle on all that. But since I don't know anything about the people involved, I wouldn't care to go very far down that path at this late date. If there was anything untoward going on, I'm sure that ASCAP or BMI probably straightened it out. I wouldn't be surprised if there were more than a few barely literate people working at (or even running) some of these small labels, so they may simply not have known any better. For all we know, they were given the incorrect names and spellings by the recording artists, whose level of literacy was probably even more unpredictable. Considering his great successes elsewhere with this song and others, like "This Ole House", I doubt that Hamblen lost much sleep over the peccadillos of a tiny label like this one.

 They also misspelled Lefty Frizzell's name on the B-side. Were they just a pretty careless bunch or was there a more devious reason for doing it?

 I'm pretty sure the composer of Remember Me has been incorrectly spelled on this disc. Instead of Hamlin, it should be Hamblen.
