 The illustrated label is the early Decca label commonly called the Sunburst, although there is no sun or anything resembling light rays on it. Apparently many people felt there was some sun-like effect in the depth of the Decca logo. This issue stayed in the catalogue long enough to outlive the Sunburst label and eventually also appeared with what I refer to as the Decca Standard Blue label. It resembles the Sunburst except that the Decca logo is in flat gold lettering. The new version also shows the matrix number at the 9 o'clock position, where the Sunburst shows no matrix on the label at all.
