55bluesman 11th Jul 2021		from liner notes by Fred James (SPV CD 49982 "Bullet Records Rhythm & Blues): "This is actually Rufus Thomas singing with the (moonlighting) Lionel Hampton Band in 1950. Plater played alto sax with that group. This was a "one off" recording while Hampton was on tour, though Lionel isn´t on this session."
