According to a late 1942 Billboard article about the shellac shortage brought about by the war, the pressing plants that handled Capitol at the outset were Clark Phonograph Record Co. of Newark, NJ; Scranton Record Co., Scranton, PA (which Capitol would later acquire and own through 1973); and Allied Record Manufacturing Co., Los Angeles, CA (corporate predecessor to Allied Record Co. which would press LP and 45 product for Capitol after 1986). Based on the label fonts, pressing rings or deep grooves, Allied would have pressed {Images #819899 & 819900}, and Scranton {Images #819901 & 819902}. Clark pressings would have had a smaller pressing ring closer to the spindle hole as well as the larger deep groove.

This video depicts "Cow Cow Boogie" on Capitol 1561 and gives Ella Mae Morse top billing credit.

It did, however, appear in a Walter Lantz "Cartune" - and Universal distributed Lantz' product.

Produced by Johnny Mercer - Cow-Cow Boogie was written for the Abbott & Costello film Ride 'Em Cowboy, but was cut from the film.

And yet, despite the designation of {Images #819899 & 819900}, "Cow-Cow Boogie" became the big hit - the first for the then-new Capitol label.
