Comic monologue
Recorded in New York, NY ca. November 1905

A previous version of this selection was recorded by Cal Stewart and released on Edison #3879. It was replaced by this version while Stewart was under exclusive contract to Columbia. Following his return to Edison, Stewart recorded the selection again and a new version was released on Edison Standard Record #10327 in 1910.

cyeaman SUBS 2nd Apr 2023		Andrew Keefe was briefly employed by Edison to record Uncle Josh monologs during a period in which Cal Stewart was under exclusive contract to Columbia. He recorded three cylinders for Edison and a handful of records for Leeds & Catlin, but his main job was as a stove merchant and junk dealer.
