That's probably on me for working with a less than 100% current download of Mike Thomas' data. It's an occupational hazard, especially when dealing with a site that is as active as his is. If I have unintentionally slandered him by referring to a problem he has already resolved, I sincerely apologize to him and his correspondents, whose work I very much appreciate and admire.

As near as I can tell, this disc has no assigned side designations. I have no idea what system, if any, Thomas uses for ordering the tracks when there are no designations on the disc. I don't know that it matters very much. I know that some people believe that the lower matrix number is somehow the preferred side and ought to be listed first, while others list it first simply as a matter of convention. I personally think that all a matrix number tells you for certain is that it is a different recording than one with another number, and if you're lucky and the company has good habits, it will tell you where to find the master on the shelves.

I can see only one listing for 256 on that list, and it's a different coupling to this entry. He lists this entry under 257 (and there's only one of them as well, as far as I can see), albeit with the tracks listed the other way round (That Goes On... has the lower matrix #).

[I've now switched the track order according to the matrix numbers. Mod.]

Per the Eclipse list on Mike Thomas' mgthomas.co.uk website, The Connecticut Collegians are a pseudonym for Jay Wilbur's band.

It should be noted that the Thomas site has these tracks on Eclipse 256 as one of two completely different versions of that number. This label is heavily marred, but it is clearly Eclipse 257, not 256. It would also be an alternate version in the 257 slot on the Thomas website, as there is another completely different 257 listed there, as well. Was this disc issued twice and did it manage to conflict with other identically numbered discs on both occasions? An interesting problem. Who can help us solve it?
