 Two solid blues sides by one of the masters of the genre. Something about Elmore James delivery evokes smokey, dark late-night dive environments better than many bluesmen who came after. I personally like BB King's guitar style better, but I don't get that same vibe from him. Elmore's sound is more reminiscent of the wirey sound of the original Delta bluesmen. I think a lot of musicians tried to get away from that, viewing it as an unfortunate defect of having cheap instruments, but it sounds like James embraced it and amde it work for him.
