 Side A is listed in the ODP as by The Oriole Salon Orchestra, which Allan Sutton advises is a pseudonym on Broadway for Adrian Schubert AH Salon Orchestra. Sure enough, the track (and specifically this issue of it) is listed under Schubert in Rust's American Dance Band Discography, although there is no reference to the use of the pseudonym. Rust identifies the vocalist as Scrappy Lambert which is consistent with Sutton's identification of Roland Lance as a pseudonym on Broadway for that individual. I don't what to make of the listng here as Oriole Male Quartette.

The Southland Marimba Players do not appear in Rust as a chapter or as a pseudonym cross-reference. Neither is there a mention of the name in Sutton. Abrams gives us a pair of initials (JG) as a presumed true identity in the ODP listing, but this A-side track does not appear under any bandleader with those initials (of which there are several) in Rust. The best candidates for Abrams' choice seem to be Joe Gumin (recorded on Broadway, but nothing as early as this) and Joe Green (recorded for related labels, often involved with marimba music). The mx number that Abrams lists is within two digits of a session by Adrian Schubert, so perhaps he could be a candidate, too.
