The four covers of sheet music related to "Cuddle Up A Little Closer" depict changes in both the title of the song and the spelling of Otto Hauerbach's name as time went on.

586789/790: Two variations of sheet music from the song's original publication in 1908.

586791: A 1932 cover of the sheet music depicting the change in spelling of Hauerbach's name.

586793: A 1943 cover of the sheet music with the revised spelling, issued with the release of the Betty Grable 20th Century-Fox film "Coney Island".

By the 1940s, the Harbach spelling variation was listed on virtually all commercial releases of the title. It is also under this spelling that he is listed in the ASCAP database.
