 If you look at enough records you will get used to seeing this warhorse. I think they must have given it away with dish-soap or something (No, I don't really mean that...) This is proof positive that solo pianists used to be a more salable commodity than they are now. In some ways that is a very sad thing. A lot of these guys were not jazz pianists, but they were nevertheless serious artists. They wrote and performed marvelous arrangements that did things singers couldn't. If you try this one and like it, I recommend that you scour the Goodwill stores for LP records by Ferrante and Teicher and Roger Williams. There should be plenty of these kind of records still around. Also, don't turn up your nose at those old Liberace 78s. Set aside the show biz veneer that you can't see on records and there's still real music underneath. (A lady in the audience once asked LIberace how he learned to play piano. he ansswered "Very well, thank you.")
