This song was recorded several times for Edison, and issued on cat. # 4023 multiple times. It was first recorded by L. W. Lipp in 1897 and released on a Brown Wax Cylinder in March, 1898. George P. Watson re-recorded the song with piano accompaniment in 1902 for release on an early style Gold Moulded Cylinder. The version on this release was recorded with orchestra accompaniment and released in 1905.
