 I would like to invite you to comment on your note that Jack Kaufman = Harry Smith. There is a similar indication in the Online Discographical Project Romeo listing, which I interpret there to mean that Harry Smith is the singer's real name. To the best of my belief, however, Jack Kaufman is not a pseudonym. He was a very prolific singer on records of this era. He was the brother of the even more prolifically recorded Irving Kaufman, who it is noted, sometimes used the pseudonym Harry Smith on Romeo and related labels. Harry Smith is also thought by some commentators to be a pseudonym on some Romeo records for William Robyn.
