 Side A (Dessau Waltz) is the same recording as Republic 006 (B-Side) by James Heap and the Ranch Hands.

 This is almost certainly the same band that recorded more extensively on Imperial, usually under Jimmie Heap's name, sometimes with and sometimes without the Melody Masters tag added. According to Ruppli, the band did virtually all its recording locally in Taylor, Texas, probably at the radio station studio. They seem to have had an inexhaustible supply of original dance tunes like these two. They must have been a regional powerhouse of sorts when it came to local dance work. Heap and his associate Perk Williams were the most frequent contributors vocally on the Imperal sides, but the band appears to have been blessed with a wealth of singing and writing talent.
