Notes BBC recording of a radio broadcast on 12" acetate, from George Formby’s own collection. Side 1 - Henry Hall's Guest Night - "Zip Goes A Million". BBC live recording from the Palace Theatre, Manchester, transmitted October 1951. Narrated by Henry Hall and the writer of "Zip Goes A Million", Eric Maschwitz. Includes many of the songs from the show: 'Saving Up For Sally', 'Ordinary People', 'Zip Goes A Million', 'Pleasure Cruise', 'The Thing About You', plus other cast recordings. Side 2 - interviews in Canada, 1950: Winnipeg Flood Relief, Bill Ward's Dog House, Alberta Co-Op Show George had this pressed privately just for his reference.
