Gene Autry, the Yodelling Hobo

Gene was not yet a "Singing Cowboy", and did not become so until 1934. Prior to 1934, his material was very a la Jimmie Rodgers, and any cowboy song he recorded prior to 1934 had a distinctly different style to those which came later.
