Jock_Girl 27th Feb 2016		Re-recording from the 1940s and released in 1949 in North America. Original version was from 1939 by Lale Andersen herself, pre-dating the Marlene Dietrich version. The label version shown in images 989694 and 989696 is perhaps a mid-1950s pressing. This 1940s version was reviewed in Billboard on 15 January 1949 and was called 'bush league'. The b-side was called 'nothing to get excited about'. Billboard Images 989694 and 989696 are from a mid 1950s pressing Lale Anderson went on to represent Germany in Eurovision in 1961
