 @ZebedyZak I've no idea why this is listed as May 1954. My source (The Ballad Years by Don Wicks) lists it as a November 1954 release. I'll submit a correction.

 This was the follow-up to 'Let's Have a Party' which reached #2 in January 1954. 'Let's Have Another Party' went one better, making Atwell the first black artist to have a number one record in the UK. Spent five weeks at the top, including Christmas.

 Why did this one take 6 months to become a hit, and what made it such a big hit after all that time? I did notice from the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles that this single, on Philips PB 268, overtook Rosemary Clooney's "This Ole House" (also on Philips, number PB 336) at the top. What took this Winifred Atwell medley so long to be a smash?
