scrough 22nd Jul 2015		Mike Thomas's site says of Potomac: Difficult to date, but obviously post-WWII, Potomac records were recorded by Hollick & Taylor of Handsworth, Birmingham, and manufactured by British Homophone Ltd. The label was specifically produced for issuing music for playing in skating rinks; the records only being available to managers of the rinks and not sold to the general public. Potomac records were available from about 1950 to 1958 and only 99 copies of each record were pressed. I'm just adding PRS 340/341 so thanks to your link, it seems like mine is a roller skating version. With only 99 copies pressed, we have some real rarities!!
camshaft SUBS 14th Jul 2013		I've no idea who Don MacKay is and could not find any info on the label. The address on the label is a private house, as seen on the google map street view, so I would think the record company has not been in existance for a lot of years. The habit of cataloguing these records individually for each side is different. Also have the following put on CAT45, paired numbers. PRI 570/71, 586/7, 588/9, 590/1, 594/5 & 596/7.
